I love that there’s so much opportunity for mobility at MassMutual and compared to other industries, life insurance operations isn’t as cut-throat.

I wish the lunches in the cafeteria were inexpensive.

Always try to find ways to promote yourself as an intern and show interest in the company beyond the work you are assigned.

What I liked

Even though the Internship was remote due to COVID-19, It was an incredible experience! Very well organized and countless opportunities to really add value and learn. The company culture is amazing!

What I wish was different

Wish the internship had been remote, but that was only due to COVID-19. The internship has since returned to being in-person.

Advice

During the internship, I decided that becoming an actuary was not the career path I wanted to pursue. Everyone at MassMutual that I worked with was super supportive and even helped me discover other opportunities at MassMutual! I ended up coming back full time as a Quantitative Consultant and I absolutely love it! MassMutual is a wonderful place to try out new things and discover your passions.
