I loved attending the speaker series and the different ‘lectures’ in the State House, like about the potential of clean energy public transportation in Massachusetts and harm prevention methods. My boss also welcomed us to attend these lectures.
What I wish was different
I wish my boss communicated with me more about projects. He was very unclear about what I should do. He also was arrogant about how I didn't know a New England term, even though he knew that I am not originally from Massachusetts.
The work can also be very dry with regards to answering constituent calls and filling out a constituent database.
Advice
Try to read articles about policy news in Massachusetts, it will help you throughout the job.
