Here at the Department of Children and Families we assist families in finding in appropriate services for their families. We conduct comprehensive assessments and actions plans. We ensure that the children of the commonwealth are safe and a productive environment. We conduct responses for child abuse and neglect; if a child or children are in a dangerous environment, we have the authority to take custody and place the child or children in a safe and stable environment. We are family centered, strength based and community focused are some of the values that we uphold. We keep children safe and families together.
