The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA, or more commonly, “the T”) is one of the oldest public transit systems in the United States. It's also the largest transit system in Massachusetts. As a division of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT), the MBTA provides subway, bus, Commuter Rail, ferry, and paratransit service to eastern Massachusetts and parts of Rhode Island.
If you’re looking for a rewarding challenge to build your career and complement your education, consider an MBTA internship. Whether you love planning projects, working with vehicles, keeping people safe, or any of the many focus areas in between, your work can impact the way people travel throughout Greater Boston. We offer paid internships for undergraduate, graduate, and vocational students.
