I loved how it was a very hands-on internship and I was doing many different tasks in the marketing department. From writing press releases to drafting pitch emails to drafting social media and blog posts, I always had something interesting to do. It also gave me experience in how the marketing and public relations departments in book publishing (and general publication) companies work.
What I wish was different
Advice
Be open to trying different things and volunteering to take on projects. It's a small company, so they really appreciate people who can work independently and collaboratively and take initiative.
