What I liked

My Job at the Maryland Science Center is the best work experience I ave ever had. I do not know where to begin. My job is to talk about science all day with the public. I have an opportunity to meet new people of various places and backgrounds (even more so since it is considered a tourist attraction). The staff members at the Maryland Science Center emphasize teamwork. The do not play the that's-not-my-job game. We resolve conflicts and complications through communication and collaboration. Working at the Maryland Science Center has helped me step out of my comfort zone. I am soft spoken. At the Maryland Science Center, I deliver a presentation for at least 15 minutes to guests on a regular basis. I have successfully been approved for two shows and am currently working on a third show.

What I wish was different

There is nothing I would change. I do not even wish I had found it sooner. It came to me in perfect time. Before, I had worked retail. It was miserable. It was affecting my emotions, my academic performance, and my relationships. But all the same, I am grateful for the experience to know what I seek for in a good job.
