Maryland CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) for Children is a nonprofit organization that supports the work of 14 affiliated CASA programs across the state that recruit and train adult volunteers who are appointed by the court to serve as advocates for children and youth who are under court protection due to abuse and neglect. Maryland CASA promotes public awareness, assists in starting new CASA programs, monitors legislation, provides training, technical assistance and other support services. Maryland CASA does not provide direct service to children and youth.
