The responsibilities given to me felt important but were never overwhelming due to the support of the other engineers. They were happy to answer any questions I had and often provided insight into how things are done in the industry. I also liked that each project I worked on covered a different aspect of electrical engineering.
What I wish was different
I wish I had a few more opportunities to go out of the electrical engineering office and work with some of the other employees at Marquardt.
Advice
Don't be afraid to ask any questions you may have. Everyone there is happy to help you learn, and you are not expected to know everything. I started the co-op with very little understanding of PCBs, and by the end I had gone through the design process for three of them.

What I liked
The Co-workers are wonderful and supportive. The company fosters one of the most friendly and growth-oriented working environments I can imagine. I can not stress enough how wonderful the other people were.
What I wish was different
There was not enough work for interns. A weird complaint, but a true one. I was thrown between a few projects, none of which took up a significant portion of my time. I was adequately challenged and working at a decent pace for both myself and my contributions to the company 3 weeks out of my 7 month stay.
Advice
Be prepared to look for your own work. You will have to search for jobs to complete, they will not be given to you. But, the tasks you can find are informative, varied, and widespread. The co-workers will have stuff for you to do if you ask.

What I liked
Friendly team, treated like any real employee, lots of hands-on experience on the lines... I love it here!
What I wish was different
Found it sooner? (I had been in classes for 3 weeks before securing the co-op and that added stress.)
Advice
Be prepared to figure out things for yourself with minimal direction.

What I liked
I liked that I was treated like a full EE, not really a coop. I did a lot of real world, hands on work. I learned a lot about how things work in industry.
What I wish was different
I feel that I was put in a position without adequate resources to solve problems. I wish that I had more assistance with my project rather than being told to figure it out on my own.
Advice
This is a great experience and you will learn a lot, but you need to repeatedly ask for help or you won't get any.
