Digital Services Lead

May 2017 • Eden Prairie, MN

What I liked

Flexible schedule and easy to work with peers

What I wish was different

More facetime with my superiors

Advice

This job requires a lot of socializing. Be ready to meet a lot of interesting people, and be as patient as you can-- not everybody is quick to understand new technology, and it's up to you to know a lot about the digital services we work with, but also how to effectively communicate that information.

Target Tech Team Member

January - August 2017 • Fairfax, VA

What I liked

It let me help people who don't understand technology and how cellular networks work. It was nice to help people understand and find what works best for them. Coworker was awesome as well.

What I wish was different

My District Manager. She was very good at sales but lacked HR skills. She was not very personable, didn't care about your schedule or personal life things. Short staffed at multiple stores and used my store of 2 people to fill in the gaps. I worked close to 60 hours a week. While the paychecks were nice overall it sucked.

Advice

You need to understand Cellular network/Phones and have patience as most people do not understand a lot of what you are talking about.

Electronics Sales Intern

May - August 2018 • Boise, ID

What I liked

I enjoyed the flexiblility and the reliability of the job. I was able to develop my sales skills while also learning at a quick pace that gave me the experience I needed.

What I wish was different

I wish I would have had more opportunities to do group work to learn more from my colleagues.

Advice

I have learned that even when the job seems most difficult, i.e. multiple clients at once, it is those moments you learn the most and are able to excel at the job.
