I wish I had previous legal training, which would have made the adjustment and my role easier.
Advice
An unpaid internship can sometimes give you more experience than a paid one. IU had many resources to help fund my experience, so don’t let the lack of pay stop you from applying to a position that you truly have an interest in.

What I liked
I really learned a lot. I got to see everything and they did not hide things from me which helped me learn even more and then opened even more opportunities.
What I wish was different
I really wish they could pay me but I understand why they cant.
Advice
Be ready to see some tough things, but I promise it is worth it.
