I loved the types of clients I got to look at and the in-depth planning work I got to do with the team. Very unique, intimate experience.
What I wish was different
I would have liked to have more face-to-face interaction with the clients throughout the summer.
Advice
I'd recommend that anybody going into an internship like this focuses on what they want to get out of it--focus on becoming the best planner you can be or learning the most about what an advisor's life is like. If you have clear goals heading in you'll be in a much better position to do well in that seat.
