Dining Room Host/Hostess
May 2018 • Langhorne, PA
What I liked
I enjoyed all of the people who I worked with. Everyone was very kind and caring, and they taught me many things not only about the restaurant industry but also about life. It was a challenging job that I often felt overwhelmed at, but it was also good to experience such a stressful atmosphere in which others (customers) were dependent on me and my capabilities. I learned a lot not only about my position as a hostess, but also about other positions throughout the restaurant. I always felt very accomplished and satisfied at the end of my shift, and often looked forward to going back.
What I wish was different
I wish that I had been paid more.
Advice
Do not be afraid to step into an industry that you have never been a part of before. Sometimes the things you are most scared to do wind up being the best things you could have done for yourself.

things Remembered
June - August 2018 • Yonkers, NY
What I liked
I was able to help customers with engraving messages for their gifts, coming up with ideas for the kinda products that they would like to get.
What I wish was different
I wish that we could get more hours, though I was only working seasonal.
Advice
Its great for people who likes to help people for gifts and when working share personal ideas for the customer. Interact with them about what they are looking for or a specific item, they would.
