What I liked

I like the autonomy offered in this workplace. All of my leadership is remote, and they balance autonomy and supervision/guidance well. Deliverables are not complicated as long as your stay up on metrics between due dates. The air overall in collaborative in nature, at least from the management perspective.

What I wish was different

The connection between corporate leadership and this level is all but non-existent. From my perspective, the events (town halls, random site visits, etc.) they use to try to fight this perception are a 'rubber stamp' at best so they can say that they put effort into this addressing this disparity. All in all though, if this is my biggest gripe, I feel like it's a good 'biggest' gripe to have as I do not feel that they affect my day to day duties much anyway.

Advice

Network, network, and network. The people at this workplace have varied backgrounds, and relationships keep this business going. We have several remote workers that I call regularly just to do check-ins. I feel like it makes business flow better when there is an appropriate level of familiarity betwen colleagues.
