What I liked

As an intern you have the opportunity to converse with those higher up in the company (Controller, CFO, etc.) and build personal relationships with professionals at M.J.

What I wish was different

I wish I would have gotten more experience in my actual field. I was assigned a few projects that were vaguely related to accounting but nothing that really challenged me or forced me to learn more about accounting topics.

Advice

Be patient! Since it's smaller than some companies, you won't always have work or work that you find meaningful. This can be frustrating at times but it's a good exercise to prepare yourself for an entry level position once you graduate-you won't be at the top of the chain right away.
