I really enjoyed working with the team and being apart of the team! There's a lot of opportunity for hands-on experience and collaboration with the founders and interactions with clients. I felt like an important part of the team and like I had the space to present suggestions and was comfortable asking questions. There were also plenty of opportunities to work independently on special projects.
What I wish was different
The work that I did was based on the clients at the time. While there is plenty of collaboration between the New York and the Los Angeles location, the majority of the actual projects my summer were being produced in New York. So I wish I had more opportunities to be on set.
Advice
If you are looking to explore more opportunities in marketing coming from a film background, whether it be writing or producing, this is a good place to learn more about it. Within the internship, it's advantageous to be proactive in asking questions to learn more but also asking for more tasks and responsibilities.
