Cardiac Rehabilitation Intern
July - August 2019 • Annapolis, MD
What I liked
Everyone was super kind and knowledgeable. It was super fast-paced so I learned so much. The team was genuinely invested in me and my experience there.
What I wish was different
I wish I was able to spend more time there. (Instead of 6 weeks) I got to build relationships with patients pretty quickly.
Advice
Definitely take your clinical classes first! I had to learn as I went (blood pressures/exercise tests). It would have been much better to have that knowledge ahead of time.

Patient Care Technician
May 2019 • Annapolis, MD
What I liked
I absolutely loved this job, I feel so much more prepared to step into my nursing career after working on a floor this past summer as a CNA. I feel like I have such a greater appreciation for CNA's and everything they do!
What I wish was different
I wish I had started working here before this summer.
Advice
You have to humble yourself stepping into a new position as a college student. Recognize that you don't know everything, but that is okay because you are there to learn and become better. Don't be afraid to ask questions and admit when you don't know something.
