As an intern you're given an opportunity to make a real impact, and are also provided with a lot of freedom to choose what types of projects you want to work on depending on your interests. Company culture is great. All of my teammates are supportive, highly intelligent people.

What I wish was different

Nothing comes to mind.

Advice

If you think you have a good idea, don't be afraid to take initiative and try to put it into action.

QA Intern

What I liked

They are a really good company who truly embodies their core values. They gave me serious work, I was the only person in my position on my team. They know how to work hard and play hard.

Advice

Know the company when applying. They want to make sure you are interested in THEM, not just “a tech company.” Know their core values and which ones you relate to.

Software Engineering Intern

May - September 2018 • South Jordan, UT

What I liked

The interns are treated just like full time employees. Right after the on-boarding process I had code go into to production and was able to make a real, meaningful impact on the product. It was equal parts challenging and rewarding!

What I wish was different

Honestly, I just wish it could have been longer!

Advice

I would say, for any engineer considering an internship absolutely take the opportunity if you have it. You learn so much about real-world software development and the connections and resume status are absolutely invaluable. If you have the opportunity to work at Lucid, absolutely take it. They're an awesome company to work for and a great experience for any engineer.
