Psychology Research

What I liked
I loved working with top psychologists in the field I was researching in. As well as grad students, and professional researchers for their study
What I wish was different
I wish I got to meet some of the top researchers in the field, everything was virtual due to the nature of the job. We didn’t need to be face to face, and we just sent and reviewed a countless number of drafts, studies, proposals etc
Advice
For psychology majors, research is the biggest component, and having research experience at then undergraduate level will set you up for success in post grad and career endeavors

I loved learning about computer programs and the digital humanities, and fine-tuning my writing skills.
What I wish was different
I wish I had been able to read more books in print, I had hoped to go to the Yale Library this summer, but it was closed due to the pandemic.

I liked getting the chance to explore original research questions in an independent manner. I enjoyed getting to spend the time researching this specific topic that I had proposed to the Center for the Humanities last spring.

What I liked
This research position allowed me to gave a flexible schedule that I designed myself. I was able to direct the hands on research in a direction that I found interesting. I worked on the project independently with a few meetings with my mentor to make sure my project was making notable and valid progress.
What I wish was different
I there was more of a community formed between fellow students on campus doing research and fellowships as well.
Advice
It is an incredible experience, however be sure you are interested in the research topic. If you are not interested in the topic then it will be a long and grueling summer.

I loved the work environment! I also got amazing hands on experience, while getting to see the counselor side of the job.

Advice
It gives great experience to students who are considering a field in digital media. You get great experience in how to use social media platforms, as well as tracking different rates on a platform.
