The experience is really hands-on. Interns are seated right on the trade floor and work alongside really experienced and smart people. There's a mentor program that pairs each intern with someone senior at the firm, which is great for career advice and getting to know more about the industry.
What I wish was different
Advice
Keep up with news in the energy market, know the major companies in the industry. Not a requirement, but will definitely help in keeping up with conversations on the floor.

Learning and Development Intern
May - August 2019 • Oklahoma City, OK
What I liked
I liked that I got to learn whatever I wanted to. They were super cool about letting me interview people from other departments to find out what my interests are.
What I wish was different
I wish it would have been more structured.
Advice
Do everything you can to learn. Interning does not equal a full time job.

I liked the environment and the other employees.
What I wish was different
As a student, I would have appreciated shifts that were shorter than 9 hours.
