What I liked

At Love Does I learned how to write grants, keep in good relations with donors, put our best foot forward on social media, and was challenged to think in creative ways for projects and events. Everyone at the office is exhuberant and kind- always willing to help you and push you to be your best!

What I wish was different

We were challenged to think creatively but a lot of the days we were folding clothes or writing thank you notes. There were some big learning days or I would learn a skill over time, but if you're looking for a very challenging and job-like internship, this is more busy work but good life experience

Advice

If you take this position, really value every day. It's such a great experience-one that you may never get again. The people are genuine, the mission is powerful, and the occasional run in with Bob Goff is the cherry on top. Don't be afraid to offer your own input and ideas too!
