I had a great summer! I got to work on education resources for the museum, meet Holocaust survivors, and understand museum work much better. I had really inspiring and helpful supervisors that shared their own career experiences and offered advice and guidance.
What I wish was different
The internship was moved to an all-remote setting a little bit before it began so it was disappointing to not be able to actually work inside the museum and on their exhibits. However, I'm so grateful they made the transition to online and were committed to keeping the program running.
Advice
You get what you put into it! Reach out to supervisors or guest speakers that interest you and really stay engaged!
