What I liked

Lori Designs was a wonderful experience. The people I worked with, Kristin and Lori, were always available to help me with my questions. They always made sure to take my input into consideration, and I felt like part of the team. I appreciated the balance they struck between allowing me to do work on my own and also being very communicative on areas that they needed me to help them with more directly.

What I wish was different

Not a thing.

Advice

Make sure you are driven to help this business. There can be alot of things to tackle, or sometimes there are slow days for interns. You must always be willing to speak up and ask for ways to help, or be willing to search for ways to help on your own time.

What I liked

I enjoy working at Lori Designs because I able to apply my skills as well as develop new ones through researching & analyzing data in support of developing a business plan for Elm Court Estates. Besides that, Lori Designs has a positive company culture that makes you feel welcomed & safe enough to share ideas & ask questions ! I have enjoyed working with Krisitn & Lori, I have truly felt like I have connected with them and grew professionally & personally ! I also really love how Lori always asks me about my day, & tries to get to know me better, it has made my experience feel genuine & comfortable to work at Lori Designs !

What I wish was different

Everything in my experience has been great ! I hope one day I get to see how everything turns out at Elm Court Estates !

Advice

One piece of advice I would like to share about this experience is to never be afraid to ask questions or for help, all the staff memebers I have met so far have been very nice & understanding !

What I liked

I have enjoyed the working environment I experienced remotely. The communication via email and phone has made this a very smooth and enjoyable experience. Lori has been a great boss and mentor, always looking out for me and her other employees to push us to learn and excel in our specific areas of interest. I have enjoyed working on the project plans for the Estate and am looking forward to one day seeing how everything plays out in the Estate in Lennox, Ma. I enjoyed working with Lori and her team and have learned a lot throughout my time.

What I wish was different

Everything about my experience has been great.

Advice

Working with Lori has been a wonderful experience. The prompt communication and the excitement she has to grow and excel with her current Estate mission has made this experience even better. I am grateful I found this Oppertunity through Handshake!

What I liked

I enjoyed the opportunity to grow professionally and personally. Great people to work with, and a positive team atmosphere. Lori is very knowledgeable in the interior design and window treatment business. I also enjoyed how Lori and other staff members at Lori Designs are very encouraging and willing to support you. It's a fun place to work.

I wouldn’t change anything!

One thing I learned from Lori is that life is all about learning and growing. Keep a positive head on your shoulders, and trust that you will succeed.

I like the people I work with, the positive environment, the ability to work with my hands, and helping a business grow and develop as we connect with clients. The knowledge know-how is also a highlight! You will grow both personally and professionally.

Nothing! Keep everything as it is.

Advice

You will learn a lot and get to meet people. Be open to new experiences and for the opportunity to meet folks whether they'd be clients, fellow installers, folks at job sites, and more. You'll get to meet a variety of people and build connections.

What I liked

I was able to apply my own knowledge and experience from my school and build on my communication and team building skills within the company.

What I wish was different

I wish I knew of the company sooner as it is a great place to work and I learned so much with Lori or relationship building within other design fields, team build, brainstorming as a team, implantation of unique styles I have in mind within client project, personalism and grace.

Advice

On piece of advise I would like to share on my experience with Lori Designs and Company is be yourself and work hard. Organization and building relationships with clients, team, vendors and the community is a great way to prosper and reach your goals. Set a vision for yourself to get to the position you want to be in. Be determined through any situation , open and honest.
