Loretto is a comprehensive continuing healthcare organization which provides a variety of services for older adults throughout Central New York. Our non-profit organization was formed in 1926, and to this day we have been the leader in person-first care. Over 8,000 individuals and their families have let Loretto into their lives and become a part of their story. We are the employer of choice for more than 2,500 dedicated employees who care with a holistic approach - body, mind, and spirit.
For nearly 90 years, Loretto's vision has been to transform elder care in Central New York by deinstitutionalizing nursing homes and long-term care services, and replacing them with home-like settings utilizing person-first care. This care model and environment promotes independence and choice, and fosters meaningful relationships between residents, program participants, and their caregivers.
Our comprehensive system of care has 19 specialized programs in Onondaga and Cayuga counties. The entire Loretto organization has a passion for our mission: rooted in a rich heritage of faith and service, working to honor and empower Elders and those who care for them to live with purpose, wholeness, and dignity.
