I loved the hours from 7am-3pm. I also enjoyed working with the young men helping them make and meet goals to become better members of our society

What I wish was different

It would have been nice if the pay was a little more

Advice

Always work hard and enjoy what your doing. Every day is a new day so have fun. One day you will look back and either be happy with what you have accomplished or be disappointed with the effort you didn’t put forward.

The staff were very supportive and a lot of the times the job was very fun!

Training was a little bit rough and I never felt like I was fully trained.

Residential Treatment Staff

What I liked

Working directly with teenage girls who are struggling with mental illness and addiction. I gained many trainings and experience with serious mental health issues.

What I wish was different

the hours.

Advice

to always be alert. and unfortunately, always doubt. The girls are manipulative and used to lying to get their way. You need to stick to what you know, always be ready for anything, and be superior in managing your emotions. This is a high stress, high intensity job with girls who need a lot of support/help. You need to be fully invested at every moment.
