It's a great opportunity to gain experience in not just cybersecurity, but how a business runs. It's a helpful and relaxed environment so it's a good place to learn skills and more about the industry.
What I wish was different
COVID hit Montana during the middle of my internship, forcing most of us to work from home. I wished that I could have continued to learn from my colleagues in the office, but luckily working in the tech industry did make the transition to working from home relatively easy.
Advice
Don't be afraid to ask questions. Go to events (even digital events or webinars where applicable) hosted by the company you're interested in to better expand your network and get your name out there.
