What I liked

I loved the experience you get working in excel! Literally every project or assignment you work on is tied to excel in some way. I was offered a chance to interview for a full time job after graduation which is exciting. I did decline because I want to go into public accounting. LKQ is a fortune 500 company and reported over $8 billion in revenue for 2016. They have endless amounts of opportunities here and they are moving into a brand new building next year. Seriously, if you are an accounting, marketing or business major try to get an internship at LKQ if you want a good chance at securing a job before graduation. And the culture? Is very laid back and peaceful. Everyone is super professional and nice and LKQ feeds you a lot.

What I wish was different

LKQ Corp is new to offering internships so they do not have a direct internship program set up. You are mainly working close with a senior analyst and they give you projects and daily task to work on.

Advice

Work hard! Do not worry about not having work sometimes. When you intern at places that do not have internship programs in place, times will get boring. I would feel stressed out, like I should be asking coworkers if they have any work for me. Most times they didn't. So do not worry, you will get projects to work on and you will gain experience.
