What I liked

I learned so much about the field I will be going into because of LiveGirl. I had so much freedom to learn what I thought was interesting and to work with amazing coworkers who taught me so much that I can use for my future no matter the field I choose within communications. Learning what it was like to work for a women's organization and how important it is to cultivate confidence in young girls changed my outlook on so much in my life not only just within my work experience. This was the most inspiring company and group of people I've ever worked for as they taught me confidence, positivity and that working hard in your field can have a huge positive impact on your community and your world.

What I wish was different

Advice

Step out of your comfort zone and try everything they offer you. You never know how much you will learn and how your interests will change.

What I liked

LiveGirl provided me with an incredible internship experience. I was able to learn, experiment, and grow during my time interning with LiveGirl. They provide you with a platform to execute your skills and put the things you learn in the classroom, into action. LiveGirl constantly pushed me to be my best self while also encouraging me to step out of my comfort zone. They made me feel extremely comfortable and welcomed with open arms. They always asked my opinion and wanted to know of any creative ideas I had so I could feel included. Being able to create the social media campaign for their summer camp was so much fun and an experience I'll never forget. They were always flexible and understanding as well. I learned so much about what I will be doing after graduation, but I also learned so much about myself in the process!
