What I liked

I had the best summer working here. I love that I was on a team of four interns, so I had people to work with and bounce ideas off of, but we all had unique jobs and responsibilities. Also, I like that the work was very real, concrete tasks and far beyond a typical interns work. I was able to work on foundation research, grant writing, developing a new donation page for them and I planned an art auction fundraiser from scratch. I also really appreciated that they took into account things that I suggested and allowed me to work on stuff that I liked.

What I wish was different

It is really hard to think of anything that I would want to change because I had a great experience. The only thing would be a little more guidance because we were largely left unsupervised once a task was assigned.

Advice

Be willing to ask questions. It was a type of work that was very new to me and I had to be willing to communicate what I was unclear with in order to succeed at it.
