What I liked

I loved the culture of the corporation and events that were held for us. Little Caesars is Detroit-grown, so Mike Ilitch has a huge impact on the city. We learned about the history of Detroit and everything the Ilitches were working with.

What I wish was different

We had a weekly cap on our hours. It’s understandable, but sometimes I wish that I could stay longer.

Advice

While an internship may be satisfying a requirement for a class, the corporations you’ll be working at aren’t classrooms. If you’re working on something, don’t put the bare minimum into your work, go above and beyond what’s being asked and show that you’re a valuable asset and not just another college kid turning in an assignment.

Sometimes, during rushes, it would've been nice to have an extra person.

Everybody has a different system. Be the person who can work with each different system instead of pushing yours on everyone else.

It wasn’t fun. It was so stressful, I had to leave the job so I can focus on school, but now rent is late

What I liked

Something that I liked about this job was that I was able to pick up new communication skills and now I will be able to use them in other places.

What I wish was different

Something that I wish that was different was that I would of liked is if they showed me how to do everything correctly because when I would do something different managers would tell me that I was doing it wrong, so I never learned the correct way of doing something.

Advice

One piece of advice would be to be open to learning new things and just be friendly to everyone.

What I liked

I loved my team and working downtown. I gained so much practical experience an learned a ton, it was an amazing overall experience.

What I wish was different

I wish I could have been more prepared coming into it, but everyone was very helpful getting me up to speed.

Advice

I would absolutely recommend completing an internship before graduating college. The experience alone was a enough to make me feel like I was finally ready to join the workforce.
