Work involved doing various tasks such as setting up events, ushering events, assisting with workshops, and running the Facebook and Twitter social media pages for the LSA Linguistics Institute at Davis 2019. The work environment was not too intensive, and never did I feel like the work environment toxic.
What I wish was different
The use of a slack channel made communication easy and efficient, but I wish there was even more and clearer communication (there were several cases of miscommunication).
Advice
Don't overwork yourself, and make sure you maintain your body (eat and sleep well)!
