The camp staff I got to work with were supportive and fun. The campers could be challenging, but over the summer you get to make connections and kids who were difficult in the beginning were very nice when they got to know you.
What I wish was different
I wish that the administration had been more understanding of how camp schedules needed to work, as well as the appropriate maximum capacity and staff-to-camper ratio.
Advice
If you want to work with great kids, the camp side of the Lincoln children's museum is a good way to do that. I learned a lot about working with children and how to make entertaining and educational activities for them.
