Going back to a job I’ve had for years and seeing the residents I’ve worked with since I started. I also enjoyed that I could impact the resident’s days in a positive way while they were quarantined in their apartments.
What I wish was different
I wish I could’ve had more relevant experience to my major/ career over the summer, but I still felt like I was making a different by finding meaning in my work.
Advice
Even if thing don’t go the way you hoped, in terms of finding a job/ internship, it’s important to find silver linings and seek personal growth in any position you end up in.

What I liked
The residents and staff were warm and welcoming. The senior center I was at was really nice and spacious. And I was given some freedom to be with the residents outside.
What I wish was different
I wish I held more responsibilities and had a larger and more set in stone job. Some days I felt I had no schedule but that accommodated for lots of time with residents.
Advice
Learn from the staff around you as much as you can.
