The most rewarding part of the internship experience was being able to observe one-on-one therapy sessions. I gained insight into various therapeutic techniques employed within the office and witnessed the strength of the relationship between the therapist and the patient.
What I wish was different
While I appreciate all the knowledge I gained from completing intake calls and billing claims, I wish there was more of a focus on learning within the therapy room.
Advice
This internship is difficult, but it is very rewarding. If you are trying to figure out which clinical path you want to go down, this internship will help you figure that out.
