The freedom to explore an area of history I was unfamiliar with and being able to have the autonomy to work at my own pace and independently.
What I wish was different
I wish I had the chance to collaborate and work more with other interns doing history research. I mostly met with my advisor and spent my days alone working in my room or the library.
Advice
Network as much as you can and take advantage of all the historical connections within Philadelphia.
