What I liked

LGA's firm culture was so overwhelmingly positive. All of the firm leadership truly cares about the well-being and success of every employee, from intern to partner. They offer a variety of benefits, even for interns! The firm allowed interns to work from the office even with the pandemic in place. They made sure that everyone had a work station that complied with social distancing. As for the work, I received the same work that the associates did. It was not just "busy work". They were truly an amazing firm to work with.

What I wish was different

This is completely out of the hands of the firm, but I wish I had the opportunity to intern while not in a global pandemic. Many of their programs were placed on hold due to the pandemic. However, they still made the best of it and added new programs via Zoom and Teams. Other than that, this internship was a very positive and productive experience!

Advice

The first few weeks can seem very overwhelming. This is because you are taught a lot of material in such a short amount of time. However, all of the associates were there every step of the way if one of the interns got confused. It might seem like a lot when learning all of the different software, but once you get in and piece it all together, it will all make sense!
