The work environment was very diverse and cross-cultural making it quite the learning experience. The job was also very hands-on and I got to see how batteries are manufactured.
What I wish was different
I wish I had been given more to do or had more supervision over my work as there were times that I ran out of things to do.
Advice
I would definitely recommend this job to anyone, but I would tell incoming interns to be prepared to have to make the initial step in forming relationships with their fellow coworkers.

What I liked
The people at LGESMI were extremely helpful! If I ran into any problems while working on a project, my fellow team members would assist me in any way possible. I also enjoyed the cultural diversity of the company. There were countless ethnicities and dialects represented, which made for a summer of cultural and professional growth.
What I wish was different
I wish my projects would have been more directed towards my major (ChE). Most of the projects I worked on were Mechanical Engineering driven.
Advice
Get to know your teammates. Whether it be management, senior engineers, or operators (especially operators--they know so much about the manufacturing process!), don't be afraid to reach out and ask for guidance.

Make sure you are willing to ask questions. Everyone is more than willing to help but will not know if you need help unless you ask.
