What I liked
I like having the experience to work with people in pre-op along side the nurses. I feel like I'm truly making a difference with just the little things. It makes me happy to be in an area around the medical field and gaining experience prior to entering medical school.
What I wish was different
I wish I found this opportunity at the beginning of summer so I could have done more by now.
Advice
Take what you learn on your first day and expand it. Work hard and continuously during your time so you can show how hard of a worker you are and how much working in the medical field means to you.

Biomedical Technician Intern

What I liked
I got to see real life applications to the processes and instruments we were learning about in my classes. This experience gave me hands on experience in a hospital and showed me the important role that Biomedical Technicians play in the hospital.
What I wish was different
I wish I had received more tasks that required me to do all of the work instead of helping/watching my boss perform the work/repairs.
Advice
Actively insist on being given tasks to perform on your own.
