I never saw myself working in insurance, but let me tell you: the culture at Lemonade is awesome!! 😎 Training was both thorough and fun!! I’m gaining great CX experience in addition to feeling appreciated and fulfilled at work! This company is truly a pleasure to work for! 💕

What I liked

I love how welcome everyone makes you feel. It's a very genuine kind of welcome, too - all the warmth and positivity with none of that fake, corporate-y stuff! Everyone is truly happy to help and wants to see you succeed personally and professionally. I have never felt so individually valued as an employee before.

What I wish was different

I'm not knowledgeable about stocks, so having more details on that would have been appreciated since getting hired makes you eligible for some LMND stock.

Advice

Everyone's really cool, so definitely go out of your way to attend optional events, whether in-person (if/when available) or virtually. Especially for work-from-home positions, those events (and there are a great deal that the awesome Office Ops team plans!) are so nice for feeling connected to your coworkers. :)

What I liked

I absolutely love the culture here! You regularly hear from the CEOs, management is very approachable and they do fun events all the time so work never becomes routine.

What I wish was different

I wish I had heard about this company and started here sooner. I spent 2 years in a corporate office hating coming to work most days and it’s a complete 180 at Lemonade.

Advice

It is a tech company so be prepared to bring your ideas to the table (and have them be heard) and be ready for frequent changes. If you don’t want to be bored at your job, this place is perfect.

What I liked

I honestly love everything about this company. I have not had a workplace like this and I will not stop shouting from the rooftops about how amazing it is. I truly feel valued and respected even at an entry-level position. Since joining the company I have met so many people around the world who share the same values and customer-focused attitude that really helps set us apart from other insurance companies. We meet with the CEO for laughs and updates all the time. Transparency is really what this company is all about. The culture here is phenomenal. I haven't been this happy about a job, going into the office, or working on a fast-paced team in such a long time. Everyone works together, has no cut-throat work experience, and honestly we all push each other to be our best. The perks, benefits, and fun events always keep me on my toes and I regret I did not apply here sooner! I am never leaving Lemonade!

What I wish was different

I do wish we have a little more chances to work from the office, but with the rising numbers, it's understandable. I respect it because the company is looking out for my health and the health of my family.

Advice

Apply! This company is growing rapidly and offering so much in advancements, friendships, and you get to be a large part of the growth!!

What I liked

I love the culture and the people! Lemonade has such an electric start-up tech atmosphere that really motivates you to be the best you can be. I really feel like I can grow here and be the best version of myself.

What I wish was different

I wish I would've joined sooner but I was hesitant because I had no insurance background and was unsure if I wanted to get in the industry. Best decision ever!!

Advice

Work-life balance and enjoying what you do is HUGE for your mental health. I've never had a company care about my mental health so much and it has shown me that any company worth growing at cares about you!
