I enjoyed my fellow volunteers and medical staff. As well as the opportunity to experience the emergency room.

I wish I had shadowed PAs and physicians more often.

Try out several departments and talk to the medical staff.

What I liked
How easy the process through handshake was to set this internship up as well as the ability for me to work both in the ER and in the ICU.
What I wish was different
Longer hours, I loved it there! I also wish I knew more Spanish going into the internship; it would’ve enhanced the experience.
Advice
Be flexible and willing to do whatever others need you to do and always be in the moment! Enjoy and learn from the real life experience!

What I liked
I love the family aspect of the hospital. It is a smaller community hospital without as many resources as those in Boston so the workers seem to be a lot closer because they need to work better together.
