What I liked

I enjoyed building my skills with Microsoft Word and Excel. This internship also enabled me to understand and be part of a realistic working environment, as well as the inner workings of a pharmaceutical. I enjoyed being able to present my progress with supervisors and project heads at weekly meetings!

What I wish was different

I wish I had more of a chance to experience the laboratory side of this pharmaceutical. However, I was given a tour of the site, which was very interesting. I hope that if I do return to work there, I may be able to possibly apply my own laboratory skills.

Advice

If you’re interested in other parts of the pharmaceutical, don’t be afraid to speak up! They were very accommodating in terms of offering chances for tours, as well as working across two or three divisions. I was able to work with Quality Assurance, as well as with Quality Control.
