I liked being able to see a change and progression in the girls that went there. To be able to help them and mentor them, even in a small way, was pretty fulfilling.

I wish I had more experience with processing and de-escalation prior to working there

Be prepared to have your eyes opened and be exposed to very real and very challenging things that these populations struggle with
