What I liked
I love working at La Clinica. After working at a student-run clinic at UC Davis I knew I wanted to continue working in a community clinic setting. I enjoy making a difference in patient's lives and using my passion for health education to empower community members to take charge of their health.
What I wish was different
The salary is not as competitive as working in a hospital or larger health center might be. That being said, it is a good position for a recent graduate to begin working full-time and gain meaningful work experience in the field.
Advice
Even if you don't think you're qualified- apply! Let other people decide if you are a good fit and don't let the fear of rejection hold you back.

What I liked
I liked being able to interact with both the kids and the parents. It allowed me to practice my public speaking skills and spread awareness on how to live a healthier lifestyle.
What I wish was different
I wish I didn't have to wait so long to see a patient.
