I really loved the experience and getting started on a job in the psychology field. The staff was friendly and I enjoyed the ability to pick up shifts as frequently as desired.
What I wish was different
I struggled a bit with the different schedules, as summer help had to work all three shifts. This, however, was only due to it being a summer position, and compensation was given for this schedule!
Advice
Definitely be prepared for a lot of mental and physical work!

What I liked
The team was very welcoming coming into the internship and very open to which projects I would work on based on my interests and goals. Their willingness to include me on projects that I would both enjoy and learn from made the experience extremely valuable.
What I wish was different
I interned while taking my first finance class. If I had a little more experience with the subject, I feel that I would have been able to take on more significant projects.
Advice
Do not be afraid to ask questions and try to absorb as much knowledge from the team as possible.

What I liked
I enjoyed creating cost factors for estimating the costs of the Behavioral Facilities. I also appreciated the inclusion in meetings and conference calls which helped me understand the organization better as a whole and the different roles each department has in the company. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive. My mentors were easily approachable and the job felt less like a job and more of a team project that everyone played a role in.
What I wish was different
I wish I had more time to work there and develop more thorough analysis for the BH cost factors. Outside of that, everything was perfect.
Advice
Don’t be intimidated by having an internship in the real world. Everyone has to start somewhere and you’ll be surprised at how helpful and understanding these companies are. After all, they were interns or students at one point in time.
