I gained a lot of experience working with a team of project managers and project superintendents. I also understood how scheduling was organized on-site and how purchases were made. Being able to apply knowledge i learned in the classroom to a real life setting was very exciting.
What I wish was different
I wish the internship went longer to see the building continue to approach completion. I also wish I had the opportunity to see building at different stages of construction.
Advice
Ask a lot of questions and don't be nervous to get involved. The people I worked with were very friendly and were happy to answer questions and let me shadow them through their day.
