What I liked

Everyone was very friendly and we all became a family.

What I wish was different

We stopped getting our share of tips after one month of working.

Advice

Memorizing recipes can be very difficult, but if you keep doing the same procedure, it can help solidify the recipe.

What I liked

I really liked working with my coworkers and talking to customers. That’s my favorite part while working there! And also the bubble tea!

What I wish was different

I wished the hours were longer because I worked until closing, which is 9PM, and it would have been nice to close later because even I have late night bubble tea cravings, and I bet other people would do too!

Advice

When being a barista, it is good to memorize formulas so you can work more efficiently and confidently, even if the formulas are posted on the wall! It is nice to work at ease and you’ll learn to have fun while you’re making drinks if you are more confident in knowing the recipes!

What I liked

I enjoy being part of a team with fun people who love to make drinks and interact with customers. It is a fast environment, yet there is still enough time to recognize regulars and learn about them. I also became and confronted my worse fears which was talking to people, counting money, and becoming a better leader.

Advice

No matter what industry you are in, having customer experience is so important. It mentally challenges you and helps you become stronger. You learn how to communicate and understand people better. Being part of a team, you learn when you should take initiative and discover many leadership skills you never thought you had. This experience has been amazing, and I would not have gained the skills at this moment if it were not for this job.

What I liked

I liked that everyone is very family oriented; we would always help each other out. It was basically self ran by students working there.

What I wish was different

The management could have been more hands-on in helping the store organization and culture improve.

Advice

I would say for every employee working anywhere to be proactive about their job; over-learning will give you an opportunity to be more efficient at work and in life.
