What I liked

I enjoyed the supportive community of the Kroger associates. I felt comfortable expressing my ideas and concerns to fellow employees. The thoughts and connections of employees are essential to the overall health of the company.

What I wish was different

I wish communication with management and upper management was more easily facilitated. Often, associates expressing discontent about difficult expectations were met with dismissal.

Advice

One thing I learned about this job was knowing my worth and importance to the company. Knowing this information allowed me to have the confidence to speak to my managers about things I felt were unjust. Even if nothing changed, I felt accomplished from having spoken respectfully, but determinedly.

Certified Pharmacy Technician

What I liked

I enjoyed getting hands on experience with patient care. In addition, I was able to learn about medications and how they affect the body. My peers and boss are always helpful when I encounter problems.

What I wish was different

Scheduling is inconsistent and shifts can be up to 12 hours.

Advice

I recommend getting your certification if you want to be a pharmacy technician. While the test is a little difficult (I took the PTCB and passed on my first try), it allows you to do more and studying for it teaches you a lot.
