I've really enjoyed working with Kratos, I liked the office atmosphere, the fun events, and how inviting everyone was.
What I wish was different
I really enjoyed my project, but do wish there was something where I could 'shadow' someone from a different department as well, maybe once a week
Advice
Don't doubt yourself - just try your best, and you can do it

Software Engineering Intern
May - August 2020 • Denver, CO
What I liked
I really enjoyed this internship, highly reccommend it. First, everyone I met with was extremely friendly and kind. I also got to work on multiple parts (both backend, frontend, and building units) which was really neat. All of the work I did (as well as all of the other interns I met with) was actual real projects and experience which was super cool. I was just part of their team and they would assign me tasks that I volunteered for. There was also a lot of support, with daily check-ins where we would do trivia about the company, learn some linux tools, and then ask for any help we needed.
What I wish was different
Not much, really. I do wish that there had been some more explanation of what system I was working in. (They had their own company classes and functions which I had to figure out, plus what I sometimes couldn't even figure out the desired end result was). I learned along the way, but it would have been nice for some explanation early on
Advice
This may just be because I'm bad at it, but: everyone I met with is really friendly, so don't be afraid to ask people if you need help, or even just want to learn about what they do. It's much better to ask instead of assuming and doing the wrong thing. (For example, I once made an entire pull request with code that did the entirely wrong thing)

What I wish was different
Wish I had started sooner.
Advice
It was a great opportunity for me to get needed experience before graduation. I would strongly suggest applying to as many internships or co-ops as possible because of the enormous benefits they provide for your future.
