What I liked

I loved the ownership aspect of this internship, as I had my own project that was essentially completely my responsibility for the entire summer. University Relations does a great job of matching you to a project that fits your interests and with a great manager that wants to make your summer meaningful and impactful to you and the company. There are so many great meetings for interns to hear from upper-level leadership (even the CEO!) and connect with them on a personal level.

What I wish was different

There was not much transparency about return offers and what the Trainee Program looks like as a returning intern, but UR was going through a big transformational period so I know the team did not have as much time to cover all of those bases. Information was readily accessible if you just asked!

Advice

I would advise anyone to take advantage of every opportunity the KHC provides throughout the summer. Reach out for coffee chats with anyone and everyone (all will say yes if they have the time!!), take on a side project, and make friends with the other interns. The company provides you with such an open space to grow and the summer is truly what you make of it.
