What I liked
I enjoyed learning about stormwater design and site development design as it was very different than what I did in my previous internship. The people were amazing and they welcomed me with new smiles and fun conversations every day. I definitely learned how to be a better student/engineer with this company which pushed me to continue working with them throughout the school year.
What I wish was different
I wish I had more opportunities with site visits so I could see where the projects are located and what stage they are currently in.
Advice
I would say that as a new intern, don't expect to know a lot before you go in on your first day. This company taught me how to perform many tasks that I never learned in school. You will learn first hand how to use any design software such as Civil 3D, as well as the opportunity to design your very own project.
