What I liked
Even with Covid I was able to go into the plant everyday. I was also able to go speak with people of all levels including engineers, managers and operators on the production floor. It's a relatively small manufacturing company so I saw all the same people and workers everyday which made it easy to build relationships with people within the company. They also had daily 15 minute meetings to give project and process updates from the day before. This showed me that they truly cared about continuous improvement which is important in manufacturing fields.
What I wish was different
My project was a lot of busy work but ended up working out in the end. I wish my boss had reached out to me more and been able to sit down and help me with things instead of just leaving me on my own or looking to other people to try and help me with my problems.
